Snort and socks

Chapter

1

Once upon a time there were five mischievous little girls called Lily, Sophie, Rebecca, Alice and Emily. Lily and Sophie were quiet and had long blonde hair.

Rebecca had dark brown hair and was smart. So was Alice very smart, but had light brown hair they were thieves.

Emily was the funny one. They were pretty but they were also adventurous.

Today they were going into the woods to find conkers then sell

them for 25 maynuts {Ten pounds in your money} and you only

get one!!! Last year I brought ten!

They went to the palace to sell some conkers. As they approached  the palace gates, they notice that the a noblemen were all hiding, but they thought nothing of it but making maynuts . As they passed the guards {pretending they were royal } they approached the grand palace walls.

They sold all of their conkers they had crowns wands and fiddly things          {they could sell ice to a polar bear}.On their way they couldn’t resist trying it on .They pretend to be posh, but then suddenly large bird swooped down, but what they didn’t know was that it was actually snort the dragon .

They were taken to a cheese factory the reason they got taken there was because they had all the jewellery on. Usually Snort was picky. After he had taken the crowns and shiny things he didn’t know what to do with them? This was because Snort was a vegetarian and didn’t eat meat.

Snort had been stealing jewellery and gems since the age of one. He was like a magpie. The girls tried to eat their way out, but the walls were too thick and they started to feel sick. They even tried jumping through the walls..

 Chapter

2

Far, far away there was a pirate ship. The Captain was called Captain ICE. They had heard about the treasure that the dragon had stolen and about the five girls, but they were only interested in the treasure.  The cabin boy Socks was worried about the little girls and said to the Captain,

“Why don’t we get the girls and find out what they know. They might know of some secret passages”

“A fine idea” replied the Captain.

So they set sail to find the girls.

When they got to shore, one of the pirates got bitten by a crab and ran off crying. As they approached the Forest of Doom, all the pirates started shaking. On their way through the forest, five of the pirates got scared and ran away, so now it was just the cabin boy and the Captain.

As they approached the cheese building, the Captain got out some nose pegs, because he remembered that the cheese factory was really made out of cheese.

They went through the big cheesy doors and the cabin boy had a lick. The Captain bit a chunk out of the door. They got through where the Captain had bitten through the door and now they had to find their way around. (The factory was now like Edam)

They saw some steps and the Captain remembered all those stories his mummy had read to him, when he was just a little evil Captain that you climbed the tallest staircase and the princess would be locked in the tallest tower. They went up the stairs.

Snort, the dragon, had just gone and captured another person, but this time he chucked them out of the window. He caught sight of the Captain, but being a smart dragon he didn’t go and scare him. He sneaked up on him and followed him instead. When he saw the Captain looking at his treasure, he slid his hands through the wall and grabbed him. Now there was no more Captain.

Snort hadn’t realised that the cabin boy was still up there. He thought the Captain was on his own. As Socks got to the top of the stairs, he heard the sound of groaning and moaning. He went into the room where the sound was coming from. It was the five girls. He asked them their names and they said, “Sophie, Rebecca, Alice, Lilly, and Emily.”

He said, “My name is Socks.”

Socks was now wondering where his Captain was.

The cabin boy had overheard the captain say that the only way to get the dragon back to sleep was to get a magic egg which the dragon had around his neck.

The cabin boy and the girls made a plan it was to….Hmmmm, they couldn’t think of a good plan. They thought all night, but still nothing came to them. Suddenly, Socks got a brilliant idea! Why don’t they trade lots of jewels and gems for the egg?

They sneaked out of the door. The dragon had gone off in search of more jewels. They went into the treasure room and took the biggest jewels and gems and shiny things they could find and took it back to their cheesy room.

When the dragon came back they called to him.

“We are hungry. If you give us that egg, we will give you all of these jewels.”

The dragon could not believe his eyes. He didn’t realise that the jewels were in fact his own jewels!

He said, “Well, I do like this necklace, but then those jewels are very nice.”

They waited for half an hour, then Snort had his answer.

“I will trade but you still have to stay here.”

They said, “OK, fair trade.”

The dragon handed over the egg and took the jewels to his treasure room.

The way they were going to get Snort to eat the eggs was to cook it and make him a meal, but they didn’t know how to cook and needed somewhere to cook it. How about we sit on it? So they did. They still sat on it. “I think it’s done.” Socks said.

They dug up some cheese and chucked it all over the egg. They then called Snort up and said, here is a lovely meal for you for being so kind to us and not eating us.

Snort looked at the egg, rolled it around with his finger, picked it up and stuffed it in his mouth. In between mouthfuls of cheese and egg, he said, “lovely, lovely, lovely.”

After a while the dragon felt a little drowsy. Without warning he fell to the ground and was snoring away. The bang was so big that the cheese building started to crumble.

The cabin boy got another idea. He got some string he had in his pocket and threw it out of the window and told the girls to climb down. They did, but it was too late for Socks.

When the cheese had settled with the cabin boy and dragon still inside, the cabin boy appeared with lots of cheese around his mouth. He had eaten his way out.

They all lived happily ever after
